PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge formed to promote movement of a fluid without requiring an internal valve or a measurement device, and a method for moving a fluid in a cartridge.;SOLUTION: A cartridge 100 includes; a first reagent chamber 10; a second reagent chamber 12; an upper processing chamber 14; a lower processing chamber 16; a porous substrate 18; an exit chamber 20; and air ports 26, 28, 34, and 36. A flexible film is built into the air ports 28 and 34. A positive differential pressure is applied on the port 28, and a gas flows to the upper processing chamber 14 until the film is deformed and a back pressure equal to the applied pressure is generated. When gas enters the upper processing chamber 14, the liquid in the upper processing chamber 14 enters the lower processing chamber 16 through the porous substrate 18, air flows through the port 34, the film in the port 34 is deformed and is discharged to the atmosphere.
