One aspect of the invention relates to a method for displaying a target vehicle opening apron for a potential future vehicle user of an automated vehicle by means of a controller, wherein the potential future vehicle user of the automated vehicle is detected outside the automated vehicle, and the automated vehicle is the target vehicle opening apron for the potential future vehicle user during the outward journey to the potential future vehicle user before reaching a stop position.
