The present invention relates to a system for indoor positioning with improved accuracy through a geomagnetic sensor and magnetic paint coating and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the system includes: an indoor positioning server for generating a geomagnetic map through geomagnetic sensor data according to a specific pattern formed by using magnetic paint with the intensity of a magnetic field which the geomagnetic sensor can recognize and generating an indoor map through a pattern learning result and the geomagnetic map; and a device for exchanging data with the indoor positioning server, measuring a geomagnetic value of a magnetic paint pattern through the geomagnetic sensor, and displaying an indoor map structure on a screen.
