A healthcare gateway and an apparatus and method for evaluating the reliability of healthcare data are disclosed. The apparatus for evaluating the reliability of healthcare data according to the present invention includes a security event receiving unit for receiving a security event for the healthcare data from the healthcare gateway, a security state information extracting unit for extracting security state information from the received security event, a confidence score calculating unit for calculating a confidence score of the healthcare data based on the extracted security state information, a confidence level setting unit for setting a confidence level of the healthcare data by comparing the confidence score with a threshold value, and a communication connection control unit for controlling the communication connection of the healthcare gateway based on the confidence level of the healthcare data. Accordingly, the present invention can improve the safety and reliability of a healthcare service.
