This system makes it possible to manage stock in a warehouse and improve usability. The stock management system according to the present invention manages articles 9 contained in a warehouse 1. The stock management system is provided with: a first information acquisition unit 42 for acquiring the type and storage position of articles from a setting device 3 capable of arbitrarily setting the type and storage position of the articles 9 in a warehouse 1; a second information acquisition unit 41 for acquiring the state of the articles from a sensor 2 provided in the warehouse 1; a determining unit 45 for determining the stock of the articles on the basis of the type of the articles acquired by the first information acquisition unit 42 and the state of the articles acquired by the second information acquisition unit 41; and an output unit 46 for outputting the result of the determination by the determining unit.
