PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetization method of an inspection object, capable of adjusting a directional component of a magnetic field generated on a Y-Z plane and a Z-X plane and magnetizing an inspection object, and to provide a magnetization device for the inspection object.SOLUTION: The magnetization method of an inspection object includes: arranging first to third magnetization elements composed by winding coils on each of first to third magnetic poles of a tripolar yoke, so as to have a phase difference of 120 degrees between each other; arranging a first magnetizer 10a and a second magnetizer 10b having the coils &Dgr;-connected or Y-connected so as to be opposed to each other, with the inspection object interposed therebetween; applying a three-phase AC voltage to the first magnetizer 10a and the second magnetizer 10b; and spraying magnetic particles onto the inspection object while rotating the second magnetizer 10b by using as a rotation axis a central axis of the first to third magnetization elements of the second magnetizer 10b, with the first magnetizer 10a being fixed.
