To provide a source code conversion device for converting a target source code without a nest structure by an IF sentence into a post-conversion source code having a nest structure by an IF sentence.SOLUTION:The source code conversion device converts the target source code described by the COBOL language into the converted source code described by the COBOL language. When the IF statement satisfying the predetermined condition is described in the target source code, the source code conversion device converts the IF sentence satisfying the predetermined condition into the IF sentence after the conversion as the target IF sentence. The predefined condition is satisfied if the IF statement contains only the GO TO statement that transfers control to the THEN phrase and the procedure name below or if the IF statement contains only the GO TO statement that transfers control to the procedure name underneath . The IF statement after conversion is structured by a statement between the target IF statement and the procedure name by THEN designation, ELSE designation and END IF designation.(FIG.
