PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detection mechanism, an electronic clinical thermometer, and a deep body thermometer that use a gallium-adhered sensor so as to permit miniaturization and precise temperature measurement without any secular change.SOLUTION: A temperature detection mechanism 1 utilizes gallium as a temperature reference. In the temperature detection mechanism including a function of automatically calibrating detection temperature when the detection temperature of a sensor passes through a melting point of gallium, the sensor includes a sensor body part 20, a gallium layer 21 adhering around the sensor body part, and a protection layer 22 for covering the periphery of the gallium layer. The gallium layer is allowed to adhere to the sensor body part, thus more easily keeping the gallium and the sensor body part isothermal than when gallium has been put into a vessel hitherto. The gallium layer and the sensor body part can be miniaturized so as to be housed within, for example, a thermo-sensitive part 10 of an electronic clinical thermometer 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
