PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for keeping freshness of a root crop in storing of a root crop such as potato and taro.SOLUTION: A freshness-keeping method for root crop using a freshness-keeping packaging bag includes: a step of housing a root crop as a content from an opening in a freshness-keeping packaging bag using a bag body, which is formed of a poreless synthetic resin film and has an opening for housing the content on its one side, as a freshness-keeping packaging bag; a step of disposing a seal member for bag sealing in a peripheral edge region of the opening; and a step of binding the seal member for bag sealing to block the opening, and thereby prepare a root crop-containing package, where an oxygen permeation amount of the poreless synthetic resin film at 23°C and 50%RH per a thickness of 10 μm is in a specific numerical value, and a water vapor permeation amount of the poreless synthetic resin film at 40°C and 90%RH per a thickness of 10 μm is in a specific numerical value.SELECTED DRAWING: None
