PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water bottom resource collection method and system enabling a specific resource included in a deposit of a water bottom to be efficiently collected.;SOLUTION: The water bottom resource collection method is provided in which a specific resource 20c included in a deposit 20 of a water bottom B is fed in a lifted manner onto the water and is collected. In the water bottom resource collection method, the deposit 20 is continuously classified into the coarse-grained deposit content 20a including a coarse-grained fraction relatively large in a grain diameter much more and a fine-grained fraction 20b including relatively small in the grain diameter much more by using a cyclone type centrifugal separation device 3 arranged in the water. Thus, the resources 20c are unevenly distributed in one of the coarse-grained deposit content 20a and the fine-grained deposit content 20b.
