PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a catalyst system for producing 1,2-dichloroethane capable of producing 1,2-dichloroethane stably for a long time which maintains the pressure loss at a low level when producing 1,2-dichloroethane and has a good heat-removing effect and high durability; and a method for producing 1,2-dichloroethane using the same.;SOLUTION: There is provided a catalyst system for producing 1,2-dichloroethane which includes an oxychlorination catalyst and a diluent, where the oxychlorination catalyst is a carrier-supported oxychlorination catalyst having a hollow cylindrical shape and the diluent is a graphite diluent having a hollow cylindrical shape having a weight loss of 6% or less in the oxidation heat stability test, an outside diameter (Ded) of 4 to 8 mm, an inside diameter (Did) of 1.5 to 3.5 mm and a length (Ld) of 3 to 7 mm.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
