The present invention relates to a method for screening a sterol regulatory element-binding protein (SREBP)-regulating factor using transgenic Caenorhabditis elegans, and more specifically, to a fat-5::GFP-transgenic Caenorhabditis elegans animal model and a method for screening a sterol regulatory element-binding protein (SREBP)-regulating factor using the same. According to the present invention, it is possible to screen genes or drugs which regulate the activity of SREBP quickly and easily, thereby being usefully used to study various metabolic diseases associated with SREBP (diabetes, obesity, arteriosclerosis, hypertension, and the like) or aging, or to develop new drugs targeting SREBP.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
