The present invention relates to a concept of a nanoplatelet functionalized by functionalized molecules, a production method thereof, and a size separation method. A functionalized graphene nanoplatelet comprises a graphene platelet functionalized by functionalized molecules, wherein the functionalized molecules comprise an aromatic hydrocarbon cycle of C6 to C30 substituted with a polar functional group, or a heterocycle, and the functionalization is by non-covalent bonds formed between the functionalized molecules and the graphene platelet.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
