The invention relates to an integrated method between transport variables and urban planning of a city in order to find an optimum intermodal point on a minimum scale with a public project that is advantageous for people, comprising the following steps: a) analysing in detail the different indicators of mobility, annually on a national level; b) carrying out a study in the routes and types of current and past transport means, in the city at point a); c) considering proposals for future road projects and integrating said information into the routes at point b) which permit a greater continuous extension, and obtaining a single route on a communal level or a bypass; d) dividing the city into macroblocks; e) overlaying said macroblocks with the bypass, achieving the identification of the macrobocks that will be contained within the single bypass route; f) identifying the mobility of the users in macroblocks in order to propose, design, project or reassign new routes on a district level; g) obtain the demand for variability of transport means and user, using the hierarchical analysis process; h) identifying the macroblocks with greater demand by type of transport in order to obtain the routes on a district level; i) intersecting the previous results for a bypass and routes on a district level in order to obtain the intermodal points on a communal level; j) determining the zone with less connectivity, achieving an intermodal point on a district level; k) determining the intermodal route, considering the intermodal point and routes, both on a district level; l) reducing from the intermodal route to an optimum intermodal point on a minimum scale; and m) identifying this optimum intermodal point on a minimum scale, with the intersections of greater demand by transport means.
