Disclosed is a recipe designing device for designing recipes for a user to increase an adherence of the user to a diet treatment. The device comprises: a database (25) stored with values of various nutrients provided by foods and associated with names of the foods; a constraint condition acquisition unit (21) for acquiring a constraint value of each of the nutrients needed by the user in a recipe designing unit and acquiring the names of the foods specified by the user; a constraint equation establishing unit (22) for querying the database (25) for the value of each of the various nutrients provided by the foods, and establishing a linear equation as a constraint equation by using a mass of each of the foods as variables on condition that the value of each of the nutrients provided by all the foods satisfies the constraint value; a constraint equation solving unit (23) for solving the constraint equation by linear programming to gain the mass of each of the foods; and a result outputting unit (24) for outputting the mass of each of the foods gained by the constraint equation solving unit (23) to the user.
