A waterside leisure facility is disclosed which comprises an enclosure,covering andsurrounding an area of land mass, an enclosed portion of a larger body ofwater, theland mass having a shore front adjoined to the portion of the body of water,theenclosure further comprising a dividing wall separating the enclosed portionof waterfrom the remaining body of water a transparent roof, joined to the dividingwall andsurrounding the area of land mass, to substantially separate air in theenclosure fromambient air outside the enclosure, while letting light through the roof, watertreatmentmeans arranged to maintain the water in the enclosure at a controlledtemperature,while circulating water from outside the enclosure through the enclosure; andairconditioning means arranged to maintain the ambient air inside the enclosureat acontrolled temperature and/or humidity.
