A topical composition for controlling DNA methylation in human skin cells, comprising: (a) a conditioned nutrient medium of plant meristem, which is an extract of the plant meristem cell suspension derived from plants of the genus Oryza, (b) a preservative present in an amount sufficient to provide sterilizing or biostatic efficacy with respect to component (a); and (c) a dermatologically acceptable vehicle.
