PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calibrating a light frequency of a wavelength sweeping light source, which can calibrate the light frequency of the wavelength sweeping light source and compensate initial dispersion and a change with the lapse of time of a wavelength sweeping range.;SOLUTION: The method for calibrating a light frequency of a wavelength sweeping light source, which can calibrate the light frequency of emitted light from the wavelength sweeping light source by using information obtained from a wave number acquiring interferometer in order to compensate the initial dispersion and a change with the lapse of time of a wavelength sweeping range of the wavelength sweeping light source includes: a first step for measuring the light frequency range of emitted light in the wave number acquiring interferometer while changing a control parameter of a light frequency sweeping mechanism included in the wavelength sweeping light source and determining correspondence between the control parameter and the light frequency range; a second step for measuring a maximum of gain of an active medium included in the wavelength sweeping light source and determining correspondence to the control parameter; a third step for determining relation between the light frequency range of the emitted light and the control parameter in the maximum of the gain of the active medium; and a fourth step for adjusting the control parameter on the basis of a determined result.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
