PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the emergency treatment of a heat transfer pipe in which leakage occurs by simple treatment in a short recovery construction period.SOLUTION: A heat transfer pipe holding tool 20 is used in a state that downward openings 61A, 61C at a pipe header side of a cutting point are plugged with plugs 10 by cutting a heat transfer pipe 6B' in which the leakage has occurred at an upper part of a furnace ceiling wall when the leakage of an internal fluid occurs in any of a plurality of the heat exchanger transfer pipes which are aggregated by the upper pipe header at the furnace ceiling wall of a boiler, and suspended downward of the furnace ceiling wall. The heat transfer pipe holding tool has a locking implement 21 which is inputted from an upward opening 61B at a cut heat transfer pipe 60B, and descends by its own weight in the cut heat transfer pipe 60B, and a locking rope 22 which supports the locking implement 21 inputted into the cut heat transfer pipe 60B from the upward opening 61B side, and the locking implement 21 comprises an engagement element 24e which pressure-contacts with an inner wall of the cut heat transfer pipe 60B by an operation of the locking rope 22, and is engaged with the inner wall.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
