PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact-sized weight and volume reduction processing unit showing a superior handling characteristic and an air flow forming mechanism employed in such a weight and volume reduction processing device.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a device for reducing weight and capacity of a treated item through heating operation and this device includes a storing container 2, and a heated air supply part 10, and the heated air supply part 10 includes a circulation part 20, a discharging part 30 and a sucking part 40. The circulation part 20 includes heating means 23 for heating air flow flowing at a circulation flow passage 21 and air flow forming means 22 for forming an air flow at the circulation flow passage 21. At the circulation flow passage 21, a supply port for supplying air to a storing space 2 is formed at an inner surface arranged in the storing container 2 and a suction flow passage 41 at the sucking part 40 is formed in such a way that a flowing-out port acting as an opening of the storing container 2 is formed to be adjacent to the supply port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
