PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infection disease information providing device and infection disease information providing method that can provide information on an infection disease which returnees or immigrants are likely to contract in such a way that users can efficiently check the information thereon.SOLUTION: A server 30 (an infection disease information providing device) of an electronic medical chart system 1 is configured to: acquire an overseas travel history of a patient from, for example, client terminals 20a and 20b; search for an infection disease information database 11; and acquire at least information on a latent period and prevalence period about the infection disease occurring in each country of an overseas travelling destination. The server 30 is configured to: calculate a contraction degree indicative of a degree of likelihood that the patient contracts the infection disease on the basis of the information on the latent period and prevalence period and the overseas travel history of the patient; and transmit the calculated contraction degree to the client terminals 20a and 20b. Accordingly, a user (a medical doctor) can efficiently check the contraction degree about the infection disease which the patient is highly likely to contract, and thus, a risk in which the user misses infection disease information of importance can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
