摘要
FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: method of determining percentage content of water in a dielectric-water mixture at changing water content in the mixture in a wide range relates to electrical measurements of non-electric values and can be used to control water content in liquid mixtures of dielectric-water type, for example, liquid hydrocarbons (petroleum, oil, fuel oil, etc.) or in moist mixtures (cement-sand mix etc). Method can be used in analytical and measuring complexes of continuous monitoring of the mixture parameters in automatic systems of technological processes control. Advantage of this method of measuring, in comparison with other ways of measurement, is increased accuracy of determining percentage content of water in the dielectric-water mixture. Besides, the percentage of water in the mixture is defined unambiguously. These properties of the invention are especially important in organization of automatic control of technological processes. Novel of the method for determining percentage content of water in a mixture of dielectric-water is the use of a microwave communication channel for measuring phase progression and simultaneous evaluation of microwave signal absorption degree in the mixture. Actual evaluation of the signal absorption degree is used for coarse determination of water percentage content in the mixture, that enables determining the number of phase cycles of phase progression of the microwave signal and determining thereby a precise phase progression or accurately and unambiguously determining the percentage content of water in the mixture. Measurement of signals phases difference is carried out herewith at low frequencies obtained after homodyne frequency conversion of microwave signals. To facilitate the signals homodyne frequency conversion one of the microwave signals is obtained by a monotonous phase shift of initial microwave signal with a certain speed.;EFFECT: use of low frequencies for measuring phases difference enables to obtain high accuracy of measurements.;1 cl
