The present invention relates to an apparatus for analyzing and designing airport pavement for an aircraft equipped with dual in tandem (DT) gear and a method thereof. The apparatus according to the present invention includes: a gear setting unit which sets the gear type of a design aircraft as a DDT gear by a user; a requirement input unit which receives traffic load requirements including a design aircraft load or a design traffic volume, pavement structure characteristics including at least one among slab thickness, construction joint interval and subgrade bearing capacity, and a region where the airport is to be designed; a storage unit which stores data related to an environmental load including temperature, humidity or drying shrinkage, creep and stress relaxation corresponding to the established region; a calculating unit which calculates at least one among equivalent linear temperature difference, stress-strength ratio, total maximum tensile stress according to the DDT gear and pavement life cycle by using the received values; and an output unit which displays at least one among the calculated equivalent linear temperature difference, the total maximum tensile stress and the pavement life cycle on a screen. The present invention provides the user with an appropriate value of the slab thickness according to the construction joint interval by considering not only a traffic load but also the environmental load so that the user can immediately identify design requirements and analysis results according to the requirements. In addition, it is possible to efficiently implement regular maintenance and management because it is possible to reasonably design the airport pavement.
