Disclosed is a new use of forsythin, forsythin derivatives and a composition of forsythin and forsythiaside in the preparation of a drug for relieving and/or treating inflammation. Experiments have proven that the efficacy of the forsythin, forsythin derivatives and the composition of forsythin and forsythiaside for treating inflammation is significant, quick, has less toxic side effects, and is a safe, efficient, stable, simple preparation process drug for treating inflammation, is suitable for industrial production, and easily popularized. Also provided is a new drug source for preventing and treating inflammation and the complications thereof.
