The purpose of the present invention is to provide an irradiation control device, a neutron beam irradiation device, a neutron chopper used therein, and a neutron beam irradiation control method which enable irradiation with a set neutron beam by simple control. The present invention is an irradiation control device of a neutron beam irradiation apparatus comprising: an acceleration device capable of irradiation with a pulsed charged particle beam to be converted into a neutron beam, and adjustment of irradiation timing; a neutron chopper having a rotation part in which a slit through which the neutron beam passes is formed in a blocking section for blocking the neutron beam, and a drive part for rotating the rotation part; and a position detection unit for detecting the position of the slit of the neutron chopper. The irradiation control device detects the result of the detection by the position detection unit, determines the irradiation timing of the charged particle beam to be projected from the acceleration device on the basis of the result of the detection by the position detection unit, and generates a pulse for causing the acceleration device to project the charged particle beam on the basis of the determined timing.
