The present invention relates to methods for increasing the therapeuticefficacy of immunoglobulin G class 3 (IgG3)antibodies, immunoglobulin G class 3 (IgG3) antibodies with an improvedtherapeutic efficacy and the use thereof as a medicament,in particularly a medicament for immunotherapy. Specifically, the presentinvention relates to methods for increasing the therapeuticefficacy of an immunoglobulin G class 3 (IgG3) antibody comprising providing amutated immunoglobulin G class 3 (IgG3)antibody, wherein the mutation, as compared to the parent immunoglobulin Gclass 3 (IgG3) antibody, comprises a replacement of theamino acid arginine (R) at position 435 in the C H 3 domain with the aminoacid histidine (H), and antibodies obtained by the presentmethods and their use as a medicament.
