摘要

The invention discloses a recombinant variable surface glycoprotein antigen and monoclonal antibodies based competitive inhibition ELISA (CI-ELISA) based on recombinant variable surface glycoprotein. The test is highly specific and satisfactory than any other ELISA where commonly crude antigen and polyclonal sera is used. Moreover in this test, it is possible to detect the surra specific antibody in any animals namely cattle, buffalo, equine, camel without changing any reagent/ biological. This diagnostic test of CI- ELISA showed 98.8% sensitivity and 96.9% specificity.
