PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect resistant protein exhibiting sufficient insect resistance against insects even in a small amount, an insect resistant gene encoding the insect resistant protein, a recombinant DNA obtained by recombining the insect resistant gene, a recombinant vector containing the same, a host cell and a plant cell introduced with the recombinant vector, a transformed body obtained by introducing the recombinant vector into a host, a recovered protein recovered with them, and an insect resistant agent containing the same as an active ingredient.;SOLUTION: This insect resistant protein having a specific amino acid sequence originated from a plant, desirably from the exudate of a plant of Cucurbitaceae such as Benincasa cerifera, etc., is provided by showing ≥60% homology with the amino acid sequence, or having an amino acid sequence showing ≥60% homology with phloemlectin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
