PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fatigue crack detection method which is highly reliable without erroneous color development that is not caused by a fatigue crack and causing deterioration in visibility due to discoloration, and a fatigue crack detection coating composition to be used for the fatigue crack detection method.;SOLUTION: A fatigue crack occurring on the surface of a base material made of metal is detected by the steps of: storing a pasty liquid containing metal or metal oxide having hardness equal to or more than the hardness of a metal base material in a closed space of storage means to make the storage means fixedly face the vicinity of the surface of the metal base material (S10); and detecting a fatigue crack by the action of flowing of the pasty liquid from a crack occurring in the storage means due to the development of the fatigue crack to the fatigue crack (S20).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
