A process for the preparation of a flame - or plasma-sprayed thermal shock - and corrosion-resistant ceramic layer on the basis of al2O3-Tio2-Zro2, characterised by the following featuresa) preparation of a slurry or a flexible material or of a granulate of:– an aluminum oxide powder with a proportion of at least 80 wt.% and less than 90 wt.% and a grain size between 0,05 and 150 μm– a - with mgo, cao -, y2O3- and / or ceo2-part - or fully stabilized zirconium dioxide powder with a proportion of 5 wt.% up to 15 wt.% and a grain size between 0,05 and 50 μm– a titanium dioxide powder with a proportion of up to 5 wt.% and a grain size between 0,05 μm up to 50 μm– wherein dispersing agents and / or further auxiliaries, to organic and / or inorganic base are addedb) forming a use of the workpiece for the flame spraying or plasma spraying by means of casting or by extrusion or pressingc) sintering of the use of workpieced) a layer produced by flame spraying or plasma spraying of the use of workpiece on a substrate or a lost core.
