PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for mitigating disasters caused by a tsunami and a high tide, which can suppress the disasters caused by the tsunami and the high tide, without the need for a drive unit or a human operation.;SOLUTION: A structure 1 for mitigating disasters caused by a tsunami and a high tide comprises a main body section 3 in which a space as a retarding chamber 2 is provided and which has an opening 7 formed in a front wall 6 facing ocean waves, and a rising/falling crown wall section 5 which is provided on the crown of the main body section 3 and constituted in a freely rising/falling manner so as to face the ocean waves. This can suppress the disasters caused by the tsunami and the high tide, without the need for the drive unit or the human operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
