PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method capable of efficiently proving the lightning resistance compatibility of a fastening section of an aircraft where many patterns are present.SOLUTION: A method of determining a test object for a test of proving the lightning resistance compatibility of a fastening section 10F, executes: a structure-pattern-population generating step S1 of generating a population of structure patterns each identified by a combination of a plurality of properties inherent in the fastening section 10F; a region extracting step S2 of extracting each region disposed in a wet area 10W where fuel or fuel steam of an aircraft is present out of regions A, B, and C of a fastening member 30 from each structure pattern in the population; a group setting step S3 of setting a group having predetermined common properties per region to each structure pattern; and a representative-pattern selecting step S4 of selecting a representative pattern representing the group from the structure patterns belonging to the group, and determines a structure pattern to which the structure patterns are narrowed down through the steps as the object under test.
