PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal deformation analysis method of preventing a cast from behaving harder at normal temperature than it really does, in thermal deformation analysis of the cast.;SOLUTION: A thermal deformation analysis method of calculating strain of a metal material in a cooling process of a cast which is obtained by supplying molten metal of the metal material to a mold, to analyze thermal deformation of the cast, includes: defining the plastic strain εp constituting the strain of the metal material with a visco-plastic strain εV and a static plastic strain εsp; setting at least a high-temperature range where the change in plastic strain has no influence on stress, and a low-temperature range lower than the high-temperature range, on the basis of stress-strain characteristics of the metal material during plastic deformation using temperature and strain speed as parameters; calculating the plastic strain in the high-temperature range from the viscose-plastic strain εV; calculating the plastic strain in the low-temperature range from the static plastic strain εsp; and analyzing thermal deformation of the cast from the high-temperature range to the low-temperature range.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
