The steering device has torque sensor module (6) that detects steering torque of steering column within first predetermined range to torque-free state of steering column (3). A torque sensor module (7) transmits entire force of steering column with linear resolution for detecting steering torque of steering column within second predetermined region around torque-free state of steering column. A resolution of torque sensor module (7) is coarser than resolution of torque sensor module (6).
