Method for adapting e.g. furniture element to be set up in room, involves fitting three-dimensional model of device element in three-dimensional model of set up area in room, obtained from data processing system and/or hand-held device
The method involves receiving three-dimensional images of set up area in room (101) by using hand-held device (102,103). The received three-dimensional images are transmitted via network connection (104-106) from the handheld device to data processing system (109). A three-dimensional model representing three-dimensional picture data of set up area in room is created by using data processing system. A three-dimensional model of device element is fit in three-dimensional model of the set up area in room, obtained from data processing system and hand-held device. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a hand-held device for receiving three-dimensional images of set up area in room; (2) a processing system for creating three-dimensional model representing three-dimensional picture data of set up area in room; (3) a communication system; and (4) a machine-readable medium storing program for adapting device element to be set up in room.
