The method involves performing a spatially limited superficial thermal excitation of a material and geometric identical reference sample without structural defects at a first location which is identical to first location of sample. A time added detection of surface temperature of reference sample is performed at a location different from first location. A temperature at location different from first location of sample is different. An irregular temperature distribution at location different from first location of sample is closed on an existence of a structural defect in sample.
