FIELD: construction.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding and design of ground effect vehicles. During determination of aerodynamic characteristics of horizontal fins of a ground effect vehicle with operating main engines installed on it, they manufacture a geometrically similar model of the horizontal fins and engines of a propulsion plant. The model is tested in the experimental tank in direct motion. The model is fixed on a pylon of a towing truck via a dynamometer used for hydrodynamic research, in a zone of absence of vortex formation from the truck motion. Modelling of the propulsion plant jet is carried out by modelling of a nozzle and traction rod diameter. As the truck moves at a fixed speed, and the horizontal fins are blown with jets of engines of the main propulsion plant, they determine aerodynamic characteristics at different combinations of angles of attack of the horizontal fins, engine thrust, deviation of elevation rudders, which makes it possible by experimental design method to efficiently determine parameters, which are one of the main elements of the manual in provision of controllability calculation in all operating modes of the ground effect vehicle motion and under emergency abnormal situations.;EFFECT: invention provides for achievement of complete aerodynamic design of a ground effect vehicle in general.;3 dwg
