FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and aims at treating acute pyelonephritis in children. The method involves a combination therapy with antibacterial and antioxidant preparations. That is ensured by measuring the pre-therapeutic generation of active oxygen forms (AOF) by whole capillary blood leukocytes using luminol-dependent chemicoluminescence stimulated by barium sulphate crystals, and serum antioxidant content (AOC) by chemicoluminescence activated by rhodamine G in the presence of ferrous iron ions. If the AOF level is more than 2.70×105 quanta/s × 4π, the AOC level is below 29 relative units, a combination therapy with an antibacterial preparation and Canephron N in an age dosage is prescribed for 14 days. On the 14th therapeutic day, the AOF and AOC levels are determined in the patients receiving the combination therapy. If the AOF level is below 2.70×105 quanta/s × 4π, and the AOC level is above 29 relative units, the therapy is terminated. If the AOF level is more than 2.70×105 quanta/s × 4π, the AOC level is below 29 relative units, the Canephron N therapy is continued in the age dosage for another 14 days.;EFFECT: method is simple and high-effective in treating acute pyelonephritis in children.;3 ex
