PURPOSE: A programmable logic controller(PLC) backplane, a PLC system using the same and a power consumption amount monitoring method thereof are provided to monitor a power consumption amount of the PLC system through the backplane on a real time basis, thereby enabling a user to rapidly and accurately monitor a power supply situation. CONSTITUTION: A power detector(310) detects a current consumption amount and a current amount inputted to a PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) system. A logic element part(320) determines the current consumption amount and the current amount. The logic element part determines a power consumption state of the PLC system. A display unit(330) displays the determined power consumption state.
