PURPOSE: An optoelectrofluidic control device integrated with hydrogel microwell arrays and a method for manipulating microparticles and microdroplets using the same are provided to selectively collect the microdroplets by performing a programmable capture and discharge process on the microparticles and the microdroplets at low electrical energy. CONSTITUTION: An optoelectrofluidic device (1) is placed in a light irradiation path. The optoelectrofluidic device includes hydrogel microwell arrays (10). The hydrogel microwell arrays independently capture microparticles and microdroplets. Light from a light source (80) is irradiated to the optoelectrofluidic device. A power source device (60) applies a voltage to the optoelectrofluidic device.
