PURPOSE: A simulation system for ship propulsion control is provided to operate and manage an engine through a simulation linked to a main engine without installing a ship propulsion control system in a ship. CONSTITUTION: A propulsion control system (10) collects status information related to ship propulsion. A virtual main engine module (210) is generated by mathematically modeling a main engine. A simulation condition input unit (220) inputs test conditions for actual ship propulsion processes in order to simulate the actual ship propulsion processes using the virtual main engine module. A communication module (230) transmits the test conditions and RPM information of the virtual main engine module to the propulsion control system. A display module (240) indicates the test conditions, the RPM information of the virtual main engine module and simulation information which is transmitted by the propulsion control system.
