The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a core for a weather strip using extrusion which prevents the shape deformation of a bend wire in all directions by extruding a resin to surround the bend wire and forming a thin and long core; increases productivity by making the core have rigidity for appropriately enduring various external forces applied in a manufacturing process for manufacturing a weather strip; and flattens the external surface of the core. The manufacturing method comprises: a bend wire forming step of forming a bend wire having constant length by bending a rigid wire in a zigzag form while being extended in a longitudinal direction; an extrusion preparing step of arranging an extrusion mold having a rectangular extrusion path on the leading end of the bend wire and installing an extruder in the extrusion mold in order to extrude a resin into the inner space of the extrusion mold; a bend wire transferring step of horizontally transferring the bend wire along the longitudinal direction towards the extrusion passage; a resin extruding step of forming an extrusion resin part, in which the upper side and bottom side are a flat and thin bend shape, surrounding the bend wire by extruding the resin from the extruder to the circumstance of the bend wire when the bend wire passes through the extrusion passage of the extrusion mold according to the transfer of the bend wire; and a naturally cooling step of naturally cooling the bend wire by continuously transferring the bend wire in which the extrusion resin part with the flat and thin upper side and bottom side is formed at room temperature.
