The invention relates to a method and a device for hydroponic garlic cultivation. According to the invention, the method consists in cultivating the garlic plant for 20 days in field or glass house conditions, at an emergence temperature of 4...5°C, after which the plants are removed from the soil and individually grown in a hydroponic system for 40...50 days, at a temperature of 18...20°C in basic nutritive solutions and selenium supplements, at a pH ranging from 5.5...6.5, after which the bulbs are harvested and dried. The device, as claimed by the invention, consists of a collecting container () wherethrough water () with nutrients circulates, the said container being provided with a vessel () containing a hose () made of a light plastic, whereinto a vertical orifice () is made, the garlic plant being placed therein so as to enter it up to the top of the bulb, while the root of the plant passes through a water- and nutrients-supply orifice () cut at the bottom of the vessel (), towards the interior of the container ().
