PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction plate which is achieved in high efficiency and high power factor of a linear induction motor used in a linear motor electric train, and is high in performance and improved in manufacturing performance. PSOLUTION: In the reaction plate constituted of a composite conductor composed of a conductive non-iron metal and an iron-system metal base material, a notch having a depth decided from the skin thickness depending on a frequency of an eddy current flowing in the reaction plate is formed at the thick-plate metal base material parallel to the advance direction of its primary side, thus obtaining an effect similar to that in the case that the metal base material is formed of a lamination constitution. By this, high efficiency and simple assembling are achieved, and there can be provided the high-performance on-vehicle primary type reaction plate for the linear induction motor.
