PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of blood detection of a human cancer-carrying patient aiming at a plurality of cancers including pancreatic cancer and ovarian cancer.;SOLUTION: The method for detecting and identifying a plurality of cancers by using a single blood sample relative to a human cancer-carrying patient has processes for: (1) acquiring a protein manifestation profile by measuring a mass spectrum of each protein in a blood sample originated in a human cancer-carrying patient carrying each cancer relative to a plurality of kinds of cancers and in a blood sample originated in a non-cancer healthy person; (2) selecting a peak of a mass number (m/z) capable of discriminating each of a specific kind of human cancers from non-cancer, relative to a peak showing the protein manifestation profile in step (1); and (3) measuring a mass spectrum of a protein in a single blood sample originated in the human cancer-carrying patient in which the kind of the cancer is unknown, and detecting and identifying a plurality of human cancers by using a difference of a relative manifestation level with the non-cancer healthy person as an index, relative to the peak of the mass number (m/z) selected in step (2), based on the acquired protein manifestation profile.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
