PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a converter which outputs a stable voltage, even if a reactor current is near zero.;SOLUTION: The control device for the converter which steps up or down the output voltage from a DC power source for application to a load includes: a PWM control unit for performing PWM control of a converter based on a predetermined duty; and a dead time compensator for performing dead time compensation different relative to duty, depending on the state of a reactor current flowing in reactor contained in the converter. When at least either the minimum value or the maximum value of a reactor current in a switching period lies within a predetermined range includes 0, the dead-time compensator compensates for the duty with a compensation amount within the predetermined range, according to the parameter associated with the deviation between the command voltage relative to the converter and output voltage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
