PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease air bubbles existing between an adhesive and a spacer and prevent the adhesive from easily leaking from the space between adjacent spacers when a liquid crystal display panel and a protective plate are stuck to each other.;SOLUTION: A method for producing a protective plate integrated liquid crystal display panel 4 includes the steps of: arranging the spacer 7 made of a material having air permeability and liquid barrier properties on the periphery of a display zone 55 arranged on a display plane 51a of a liquid crystal display unit 5; applying the adhesive 8a before cured onto the display zone on the display plane; superposing the protective plate on the display plane; pressing at least one of the superposed liquid crystal display panel and the superposed protective plate to such a direction that the liquid crystal display panel and the protective plate are brought close to each other; applying the adhesive in every corner of the display zone and discharging at least a part of the gas existing in the display zone between the liquid crystal display panel and the protective plate to the outside of the display zone through the spacer; and curing the adhesive.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
