Provided is a novel and non-natural sialic acid-containing sugar chain compound, which has a binding activity to a viral particle and remains stable even in the presence of sialidase, obtained by using a reaction with the use of a glycosyltransferase having high substrate specificity and high reaction selectivity. A compound having a sugar chain structure represented by general formula (1): Siaa2-3(Siaa2-6)Galß1-4(Fuca1-3)GlcNAc (1), or a salt thereof.
