PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an influence by ambient light and perform stable observation while suppressing damage on a sample and color degradation of fluorescence.;SOLUTION: A laser scanning microscope 1 comprises: a culture vessel 6 storing a sample A; an optical system space 5 arranged adjacent to the culture vessel 6; a laser source 61 emitting an ultrashort pulse laser beam; and a laser space 51 storing the laser source 61. The optical system space 5 is provided with a scanner 22, an object lens 15, a dichroic mirror 53, a photodetector 55, an outer cover 2, and a heater 30, and is separated in terms of humidity from the culture vessel 6. The laser space 51 is provided with Peltier elements 66, 67 for reducing the humidity in the laser space 51 and controlling a temperature in the laser space 51, is adjacent to the optical system space 5, and is controlled by the Peltier elements 66, 67 so that the temperature is lower than a temperature of the optical system space 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
