Heating device for heating e.g. water, has variable components in contact with fluid and rotated inside of enclosure, where movement of fluid between wall sides of enclosure and surfaces of rotating element causes heating of fluid
The device (1) has variable components (10, 13) in contact with a fluid, where movement of the fluid between wall sides (3A, 3B) of a cylindrical enclosure (2) and surfaces (12, 16) of a rotating element causes heating of the fluid. The variable components are rotated inside of the enclosure. Projecting elements e.g. vanes, are in contact with the fluid and provided in a longitudinal direction approximately parallel to a rotation axis of the rotating element. A parallelepiped wall (3) of the enclosure is made of heat conducting material. An independent claim is also included for a method for heating fluid.
